The Lost & Broken Replacement Program was created to help customers replace eligible products that become damaged or lost during normal use. This program applies to qualifying products purchased directly through official Shady Rays channels and authorized retailers. Coverage is designed to offer peace of mind for customers who rely on their eyewear during travel, sports, outdoor recreation, work, and everyday activities.

For qualifying purchases made on or after January 1, 2023, protection coverage remains active for two years from the original purchase date. Products purchased before that date may remain eligible under previous program guidelines, subject to applicable terms and conditions. The program allows customers to request replacement products through the official replacement request process if their covered eyewear becomes damaged or lost during the active protection period.

To begin a replacement request, customers may be asked to provide proof of purchase and information related to the affected item. In some cases, photographs showing the condition of damaged products may also be required as part of the verification process. This helps ensure claims are processed accurately while maintaining fairness and consistency across the program.

A processing fee applies to replacement requests and varies depending on the type of product being replaced. Products purchased through unauthorized resellers, third-party marketplaces, or unofficial distributors may not qualify for replacement support under the program guidelines.

While the program provides broad protection for many products, some exclusions apply. Certain categories, including final sale items, outlet merchandise, prescription eyewear, blue light glasses, promotional products, apparel, accessories, and mystery items, may not be eligible for lost or broken replacement coverage. Snow goggles and certain specialty lenses may also have limitations depending on whether the item was lost or physically damaged.

The protection program is designed to provide reasonable replacement opportunities while maintaining fairness for all customers. Eligible products may generally receive up to two approved replacements within the active protection period, subject to inventory availability and program terms. If the original frame style, lens option, or product color becomes discontinued or unavailable, customers may receive a comparable alternative product of similar value and design whenever possible.
